2009 SHOW HIGHLIGHTS
Beginning her career at just two years of age, Dido was taken to the Old Dominion Morgan Horse Association’s big show at the Virginia Horse Center by Jessica Parker-Gilbert. She placed second in Sport Horse Suitability Mares and second in Trails in Hand, beating out some older and more experienced competition!
2010 SHOW HIGHLIGHTS
Now three, Dido went to the big Mid-A Regional Morgan Horse Show, again in Lexington, Virginia, with Jessica. Again she placed second in Sport Horse Suitability Mares and went on the place in four Intro Dressage Tests, with a third, two seconds, and a first place! This youngster was on her way.
2011 SHOW HIGHLIGHTS
At the Pennsylvania Morgan Mason-Dixon Classic Show, Dido was shown by
Brooke Baxter-Whitt. Once again, Dido won a second in Sport Horse Suitability Mares with a score of 72.40. The pair received a second in Sport Horse Under Saddle as well. They competed in three Intro Dressage tests, taking first place in all three tests. Their scores ranged from 66.50 to 76.875, giving Dido the Intro Champion Morgan award!
2012 - 2015
During this period, Dido spent some time in training with Dawn Cooper of Total Balance Method in Virginia, and then she returned to her Delaware home to be ridden by her owner, Sylvia Brohawn and her trainer, Christine Tomkins Niblett.
The proper placement to resume her show career finally presented itself. When her half-brother, Harwich Attila, met Matthew Marshall of Sunny Hill Acres in Fincastle, Virginia, he couldn’t wait to share his discovery with Dido. When Dido met Matthew, it was love at first sight. Back to Virginia for Dido!

2016 SHOW HIGHLIGHTS
2016 started out with a bang! Matthew took Dido to schooling shows in the spring, and they placed first in their Training 3 test at the Blue Ridge Eventing Association Schooling Show. At the Dressage with A View schooling show, again at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, they placed first in Training 1 with a score of 77.83.
Close on the heels of these two starter shows was the big-time again: The Southern States Regional Morgan Horse Show at the Fairgrounds in Cary, North Carolina. This was Dido’s first sanctioned show at Training Level Dressage, and she stepped up to the plate. Matthew and Dido took the firsts in their Training Level 1 and 2 tests! They even tried a bit of Western Dressage and placed in the ribbons. The icing on the cake was that Dido and her half-brother, Harwich Attila, took home the most coveted of breeding awards in Sport Horse Suitability. Matthew showed Attila and Dido to the international Dressage judge, Natalie Lamping, who placed each of them first in their well-filled Stallion and Mare classes. Dido bested Attila’s score of 75.5 with a score of 76.5!
Now Dido was ready for Open Competition at sanctioned shows, and she made Morgan horses proud. , “Dressage at Lexington” had over 400 entries from all over the country, and Matthew once again brought Attila and Dido for this premier event. They both placed well in their several Open Dressage tests over the weekend. The highlight of this show was the Dressage Sport Horse Group Class. Harwich Tyrant headed up the class, followed by Harwich Dido, Harwich Lalique, and Harwich Attila. The group won their class with a score of 69.15, exhibiting both type and sport horse conformation.
In Training Level tests 1 through 3, she placed second through fourth against all of the big Thoroughbreds and Warmbloods. She had a high score that weekend of 70.577, and placed second in Training 3.
Matthew took Dido to her last show of the year at the Virginia Horse Center for the 34th Annual CBLM Championships & Virginia Dressage Association Fall Competition. Having done five Training Level tests at this huge show, with over 400 entries from all over the country, Dido brought home two thirds, two fourths, and a fifth, with Matthew Marshall up. All the work and effort through the year paid off in spades for Dido and Matthew. In the USDF All Breeds Awards for Morgans, Dido placed first in Training Level for her region!
This pair is ready to take 2017 by storm!
